Perhaps it was the legend of speed. Or the exotic terrain. Or the shimmering mountains in the distance. For whatever reason, the Bonneville Salt Flats intrigued me from an early age. Finally, in the summer of 2024, circumstances aligned and I got to visit this historic site and the Utah-Nevada border.
